Writing Chic Lit - The Calamity Girl

Okay it was almost fifteen years ago that I started writing my Calamity Girl Stories in a journal.  I have no idea where they are at the moment, so I'll be writing from memories...

I never published it online because I figured there was no happy ending to this story.  Now I feel the "URGE" to start writing it.

Sophie Kinsella's Confession of a Shopaholic, cool chic lit, inspired me.
It reminded me about myself and the life that I've left behind.
It told me that I had changed from that irresponsible, spend a holic that I used to be years ago...

I never realized how much I had changed in the past three years, till now.

I've learned you have to live life to the fullest and take one day at a time.

Do your dreams, don't let anything hold you back!

So I'm going to start working on all those dreams I've had for years! :)

I did accomplish one of them.

Writing The Munroe Series, although it's still a work in process I can honestly say not only did I write ONE novel, I'm in the process of doing FOURTEEN of them. LOL

How's that for reaching a goal? :)

It's the same with this thing called BLOGGING.

I learned about it in November 2008.

No, I'm not from the dark ages, although at my age I feel like a dinosaur sometimes when I try to have a conversation with my 19 year old child.

He knows so many things about computers, ipods and MP3 players and I know zilch!

Okay so Harold bought me an MP3 player.
I know how to press the one button and that's it.
I figured out how to add songs to it by watching a youtube video. (such a useful tool)

Now i'm tired of my songs, so I'll have to go look for a you tube video on how to CHANGE the songs! LOL

okay so enough of the personal stuff...

I'm going to take a crack at writing some chic lit.

I know I can do it because I submitted a story on Helium and a well known writer (25 years, New York Times) sent me an email telling me how much HE enjoyed my short story!

It got a decent rating at the time, haven't checked it lately.

So....
I'm going to take that original story and EXPAND it.

I'll be posting the story portion on The Calamity Girl Blogspot.

Any news or updates I'll post on Word Press like pictures and stuff, I'll have two things on the go because I'm a professional multi tasker! :)

Just thought I'd let you all know I'll be writing something wacky, funny and entertaining soon.

OMG I love this new Editing tool they created here.  I just hit UpDATE on my settings.. Check yours out too, you might need to update yours.

Greg Alexander Silah - A Psychic Investigation

I've updated several of my blogs on Squidoo about Psychic Investigations and Remote viewing clues to several of the cases.

I decided to post links to all of the sites on Greg Alexander Silah website on Squidoo.
My computer is running really slow lately it's getting ridiculous.

I won't be working much on anything today, now I know why....
Jeez my computer was updating stuff!
A little box popped up!
I should have known.

Anyways I'm going to be running errands today and taking a break, kind of exhausted from all this. Too many things on the go here, need to regroup, organize and refresh! :)

I find it's important to do that and I got up way too early this morning to help Harold, then I started cleaning the house...

So I'm going to do some meditations, and rest for a bit!

The Munroe Mansion Chapter One Revision

I've been working this week on revising my novel and I've written two new chapters and added 3 more characters.

In this story Duvall Marchand is a happy widow. He never really loved his wife, he just liked the money that she made for him.

His wife Blaise was a Fashion Designer that lived in Paris France, back in the early 1900's. She assumed that when she passed away that her fortunes would go to her nieces Lorraine and Elsa Picard.

Duvall informs her that everything is in his name, and it's his fortune and he refuses to share any of it with the girls when their Aunt and parents are tragically killed in a train accident.

Lorraine is desperate to find a way to support herself and her sister. She happens on a picture of Anthony Atkins in the Canada Gazette and formulates a plan to meet him, seduce him and have him marry her.

She writes to her Uncle Duvall requesting assistance and funds to travel to Canada. Her Uncle decides to take the girls sailing on his ship The White Star and intends to drop them off in Canada and never see them again.

However what the girls do not know is that he has a taste for young women...

That is the story line I'm working on :)

I've only posted the first six chapters of the book (my first rough draft) and when I finally am finished the story changes and is better every time I do this! :)

Some of the books in the Munroe Series just have loads of lovely pictures about my character and setting profiles :)

You can follow me as I write the books, develop the plots, setting and characters.

Lisa Stebic - Stacy Peterson - Jessica Neilson - A Psychic Investigation

I'm working on another case again. This one is about Lisa Stebic. I've also posted information about Stacy Peterson and Jessica Neilson and Daniel Thomas Tavares on the same site. I believe that they all have something in common.

I have a theory about the girls that are missing and notice that the simularities in looks, height and weight may all be part of a serial killers liking for the "same kind" of girl?

It makes you wonder when you start looking at the cases.

With Lisa I had thoughts come to me about where her body is...

I do most of my psychic investigative work on Squidoo.

It's easier to make seperate files for each person there!

For some reason I'm unable to add a picture to my post today! :)
